Brookhill has sponsored three of Fordham's works in mathematics: a state by state evaluation of standards, comparison of draft CCSSM standards with international benchmarks, and an evaluation of how math instruction is changing since the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

In June of 2016 Fordham released Mathematics in the K-8 Classroom: Results from a National Teacher Survey. This report can be found at

In 2010 Fordham published a comparison of every state’s existing standards against the draft Common Core Standards. The report titled the State of State Standards 2010 can also be found at

In 2009, upon release of the first public draft of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, The Thomas B. Fordham Institute prepared a comparison document titled Stars by Which to Navigate?, comparing the draft CCSSM standards with known and respected national and international benchmarks – National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP), Trends In International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), and Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). This informative document is available at Brookhilll’s sponsorship was for the mathematical portion of this report.
